While the Sunday Million gets all the glory at Pokerstars, there’s another huge tournament that people need to know about as well. It’s called the Sunday Warm Up, which is funny considering it’s tied with the Full Tilt Poker weekly guaranteed as the 2nd largest weekly tournament online.

While the Pokerstars Sunday Million boasts a $1.5 million guaranteed prize pool, the Sunday Warm Up is nothing to sneeze at either. It has a $750,000 guaranteed prize pool with a direct buy-in of just $215. If the direct buy-in is too much for you, you can win a seat into the event via one of the hundreds of satellite tournaments that run all week long.

Satellite tournaments for the Sunday Warm Up start at just $3 in cash or 400 FPP’s. While the guarantee is $750,000, the actual prize pool is typically over $800,000, with top prizes in the $100,000 + range.

The Sunday Warm Up starts at 12:45 ET (17:45 GMT) every Sunday. This is a great start time for European players, and fine for US players that didn’t spend all night partying on Saturday. For those that do, remember – a full glass of water plus 2 aspirin before you go to bed. Repeat when you wake up. I have no experience with this situation, but this is what friends have told me. ;)

A few hours after the Sunday Warm Up starts, the Sunday Million gets under way. It has the same $215 buy-in as the Sunday Warm Up, but double the prize pool. The top prize for the Sunday Million generally approaches $200,000, and deal making is available as well.
